Kenneth W. Yagelski, Assistant Vice President, joined Concentric in 2008. Mr. Yagelski provides regulatory, strategic and operations support to his energy clients. He has over twenty years of direct experience in natural gas and electric utility management in the areas of system and resource planning, contracting, sourcing, asset optimization, engineering, and local and federal regulatory matters. Mr. Yagelski received his Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Electrical Engineering at Purdue University and is a Registered Gas Distribution Professional. His career has spanned three decades critical to the evolution of the natural gas industry. He has participated in establishing policy for interstate pipeline deregulation (1980s), created programs for competitive retail service markets (1990s), and changed the utility’s capacity cost management function into a revenue center through asset optimization (2000s). Mr. Yagelski has been an expert witness in several regulatory proceedings and government hearings, a regular guest instructor for courses conducted by the American Gas Association and the Gas Technology Institute, and a speaker at energy industry events. Prior to joining Concentric, Mr. Yagelski was Director of Energy Acquisition and Department Head of Regulatory Affairs for Washington Gas and Lead Planning Engineer and Project Manager for Illinois Power (now Ameren). Throughout his career, he has held leadership and committee positions within the American Gas Association (AGA), the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
